HOW TO DYE AND MAINTAIN BRIGHT RED HAIR

Dearest mermaids,

Your hair colour can drastically change your appearance. Perhaps it is hard to believe, but the three photos below are all the same girl (me)!

Over the past few years I have settled on the colour red. I think the colour has something magical about it (perhaps in part because it reminds me of Ariel the mermaid Disney princess!). It also fulfills my desire to have a bright unnatural hair colour without impeding my ability to work in a professional office environment.

I've been dying my hair red for several years now and have found that a combination of hair lightening and semi-permanent vegetable dye is the best method to achieve ultra vibrant hair. I have tried Directions and Hot Topic, but my favorite dye brand has to be Special Effects. An additional bonus is that one bottle is enough to dye my very long hair!
